Only problems there were no outlets by night lamps. We both have c-pac machines because we stop breathing. So we ran an extension cord over floor. Plugged my feet warmer by air conditioner outlet, unplugged air to change phone. Cord was 1 foot off floor so had to be careful not to trip on cord which was a foot off floor. Seven went by blowing whistle, two were loaded heavy that beds vibrated. UTV’s flying by and loud bikes & vehicles. But Catholic Church was real close so that made us happy

This is our second summer staying at Swanson’s Motel and Campgrounds. We love the cabins and the grounds. The cleanliness of the cabins we have stayed in is top notch and I am a picky one about how clean a place is. Our cabins have been spotless. The owners, Kristin and Ben are responsive and professional. This is a true Northwoods experience with dedicated owners who want to make sure you have a good time. Love this place.

We stopped here for a night on the way up to the North Shore of MN and the cabin was so cute - the rooms were nice and there is a little patio for morning coffee! They accommodated our late check in which was nice and parking is right outside the cabin. As other reviews mentioned there is a train track very close by and trains ran throughout the night so being ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!

My husband and I rented a cabin for three nights for our anniversary. We were supposed to stay Friday night through Sunday morning. Before we left our house we found out that my mom had jury duty and wouldn’t be able to watch the kids on Monday. When we got there we explained the situation to the owners and told them that we needed to cancel our Sunday night stay. The owners were understanding and didn’t charge us for the cancellation. These cabins are very affordable and clean. We were supposed to have a cabin with a full kitchen, but when we arrived we were given a cabin without a kitchen. It didn’t really matter since it was just my husband and I. We stayed in cabin 3 which was a cozy little cabin. The cabin consisted of two rooms. The main room had two double beds, a table with two chairs, microwave, small coffee pot, and a mini fridge. There was also a small bathroom. The beds weren’t firm. We rolled into the center of the bed when we both laid in the bed. The sheets smelled like they were freshly laundered and the pillows were fluffy. My only complaint is that there were limited outlets and none that were accessible around the bed. If you want to watch television they do have antenna tv available. The reception is clearer at night than it is during the day. They do have wifi but you have to be closer to the office in order to use it. You can unplug in this place. There is a train track right across the street, but the sounds of a train do not bother me. There was a train track that ran behind my old house. You get used to the rumble of a train going by. It’s easy for most people to sleep even though there is a train passing by. This is a place I would stay at again.

First time stay. Our cabin #7 was an absolute gem! Spacious, remodeled, spotlessly clean, great kitchen, big bathroom, comfortable beds, . The grounds were tidy, flower boxes in full bloom, owners maintain like a home. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay. We have family in the area and have stayed multiple times. Cabins are small and not fancy but very clean and cozy. The owners are wonderful and super accommodating and friendly. Prices are great as well. If you are looking for a quiet quaint place to stay with affordable prices and friendly owners this is the place to stay.

This place is a hidden gem! Cute, cozy, CLEAN cabins set in a quiet, wooded area. The woman running the place was so friendly. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area!

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The cabin had a full kitchen, a small TV with a Roku stick, plenty of space to park our vehicles, and a picnic table to enjoy the outdoors. You do hear the train when it comes through, but we're used to hearing trains because we hear them where we live as well. We slept with the window open and the sound didn't bother us (it was actually comforting), but I could see where it's an issue for people who aren't used to it. The Wi-Fi is spotty, but that also didn't bother us. We were out and about most of the day and came back to the cabin to relax and unwind for the night. We were able to use the Wi-Fi to stream Amazon Prime. I also liked being able to unplug and disconnect while on vacation - you don't get many opportunities like that anymore. This was a great place to stay and is not a far drive from Amnicon Falls State Park for hiking and Superior or Duluth for restaurants and other sites. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area.
